Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B for a distinctive blend. Her career path has taken her across Broadway to European festivals and clubs up to the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is a name that she has given her was Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing the piano in church. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta in Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You a House 12 came out only in Japan. It's been remixed numerous times and has become a staple of her live shows. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she became the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) approached her for an opportunity to be the choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
