Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist currently competing with the Flyweight Division in the UFC. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an additional medal in the year 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and then was named as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in 2016. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has won several awards, such as the K-1 World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was able to win unanimously. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. After leaving the league in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina showed off her power of striking by tying Nievera using knees. Antonina accepted a UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was offered a UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi with a unanimous decision. However, she then lost her subsequent fight due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights but then lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
