Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. Anne W. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. While growing up in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion of cooking and food at a young age. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most enjoyable time of my life. It was impossible to learn, do or work enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. It was during this time that her experience in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian philosophy and culture, and this has left an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels the country in her mentorship task. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate in that she could share her true passion with others.
